December X Catching Fire
on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 9:52 PM

Hello,
I'm pretty aware that it has been a super long while since I last blogged.
First and foremost, let's all welcome December.

Welcoming December is a mandatory thing for me to do because...
1. Its the last month of the year.
2. I've always love December. Always.
3. December is also MY MONTH. :)
4. Who doesn't love December?
5. The list goes on.

I've also heard many people saying December is the month of lights, snow and feasts; time to make amends and tie loose ends; finish off what you started and hope your wishes come true.
Well, aside from the fact that it is nearly impossible for Singapore to have natural snow, I guess the its quite true for the "Month of lights, feasts..." part. haahaa
Here's why.

I've always love December and it is MY MONTH basically because I am a December baby.
And sure to say, I am proud to be one :)
I have to strongly agree with "December being the month of feasts" because I had one too many feasts already. I'm not even halfway through December and I had like a few dinner treats from my lovely family and friends.

Well, my Daddy and brother had to leave SG during my birthday, which made me pretty upset. It's not like I celebrate my birthday every year (in fact I rarely celebrate them) but I dislike not having my family with me during my day. My goodness I sound like a brat.
BUT THAT'S BECAUSE they have been overseas during my day for the 3rd year in a row. :(
I guess I was lucky to have a feast with them before they left.
JAPANESE FEAST.
We ate like 7 plates of beef. HAHA

On the very next day, Mummy cooked spagetti for dinner! Originally she was only going to cook aglio-olio, but I never liked spicy spagetti, so she cooked Carbonara with bacon :) YAY :)
Probably one of the best meals I have ever had this year. ^^

TA-DAA!
3 December finally came. (a.k.a my day)
The only saddening thing on this day was that I had two papers to sit for. The papers were pretty tough to do but I guess I still managed to survive. After my first paper ended at 9.40 AM, we had a 6 hour break to our next paper (3.30 PM). And so Hui Yin and I decided to give SP Starbucks a visit. Haha, I managed to claim my birthday treat cake from them. It wasn't the best New York Cheesecake I have ever had but its free anyway. So why not.

Back to studying. I felt like a total nerd that day.
Plus to perk myself up a bit, I bought HELLO PANDA (in strawberry).
Guess today shall be a "cheat day" for not sticking to my diet. Anyway, only once a year do I get to "cheat" to this extent, so I DESERVED IT HAHAHA.

After my second and final paper of the day ended, I had dinner date with 3 very special friends from my alma mater - Cheryl, Laura and Qian Wen. Originally, our meeting time was 6 PM, but poor girl Qian Wen mistook the meetup time and arrived at JEM at 5 PM, frantically trying to call me to meet up with her earlier. So we strolled around JEM and West-gate before making our way to JCube's Manhattan Fish Market for our dinner date.
Here's what we had.

We sat there for roughly 2 hours, trying to catch up with each others' lives (and Love-life unfortunately) we all had to spill the beans. It wasn't really fair cause somebody didn't have much to share *glare*
I also managed to take a Polaroid photo with my darling girls :)

Oh oh, we saw this booth about some Singapore Countdown 2014 and they had white inflatable balls for us to write our New Year wishes on them. It turned out really funny cause instead of writing New Year resolutions, the girls were wishing me a Happy Birthday on that white ball. My goodness HAHAHA I have such cute friends *cries*

I've also received many gifts on my birthday. Ranging from cupcakes, to Polaroid camera and films, to perfumes to love letters. I really want to say I am so very Thankful for all your heartfelt wishes, I have never been so happy before in my entire 18 years of my life. Well maybe I had before but my point is, this year, it definitely made a mark in my life, a good mark that I'd want to remember for the rest of my life.

Following the next day when my brother came back from his overseas tournament, he gave me a quick surprise. VICTORIA'S SECRET. I practically thanked him so much. And best of all, it gave me the motivation to study. Also, Hui Yin also gave me a gift that touched my heart.
Basically, it was just a simple black notebook filled with red pages. However, it was the ONE AND ONLY book ever because she handwritten all the quotes inside on every single page. I really had much fun reading it because I was so touched and it was by far one of my favourite books ever :) She also made a slight remark saying it might not be one of the more expensive gifts I have received and she hoped I like it. Oh dear girl, you have no idea how much I love the book. It's really priceless to me. PRICELESS.

Cheryl got me some cupcakes from the store: Twelve Cupcakes.
I have never appreciated muffins or cupcakes or cakes or any kinds of desserts.
But I really have to say that the cupcakes she got me were the best ones I ever ate.
It was so yummy it got me craving for more. :)

Cute ain't it?

I've also managed to catch "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire".
TWICE, this week. I watched it TWICE and it is still good (though the ending was a little disappointing.) And I received a Mockingjay pin! :)

I would want to collect all 3 pins but I only have this so far :( Oh well.

Here are some Hunger Games posters which I found over the net.

Mags is basically one of the fictional characters whose death I cannot get over.
She was half of Finnick's family and well Finnick still died in the end. Which is so depressing. I love Mags and Finnick. Why do good people have to die in the end :( The both of them in this picture look so good...
Really wish I get to have a partner/companion or even a friend like Finnick.

Just realised I've blogged a really long post, so I'm gonna end here for now.
(Or else I might start spamming somemore Hunger Games posters)
Hopefully I can remember to hop back here for another post.

Till then!
xoxo
