Merry Christmas everyone! :)
Although I am a day late in wishing everyone a merry merry Christmas; better late than never right! To start off my Christmas week, I attended 2 parties and both are hosted by my parents' friends. (Technically one of the aunts is my friend too haha)
Even though both hosting families wouldn't see this blog post, I would like to thank both families for the hospitality and the wonderful food. The roasted turkey, ham and pork were really good (and so were the Oreo macaroons)
One regret I had was that I didn't get to take many photos of the party. Reason being because there was this family dog that kept running around chasing and barking at visitors. And I wasn't a fan of dogs. Yea, I literally screamed when the poor dog came bounding towards us. Guess it was just trying to be friendly.
Probably my first time trying Macaroons. (I've been living under a rock, but whatever.)
I love the one in black, its Oreo/ Cookies & Cream. Yummiest of all.:)
Log-cakes are one of the traditional cakes where everyone would eat during the Christmas Season. It wasn't to my liking so I didn't really appreciate it. But IT IS SUPER CHOCOLATE-Y.
Oh oh, on Christmas Eve, we had a dinner with one of my mummy's friend (Aunt Janet, who's also my friend) and she got her son to perform some songs for us.
FYI, her son was one of the finalists for Singapore's "The Final One" which is a singing competition. He recently formed a band with the other finalists and contestants and named themselves "Still Sunrise".
Though they weren't in full strength for the exclusive Christmas performance, they were really good and talented. They could play the piano, violin and the guitar and sing at the same time. On top of that, their voices really harmonized with one another. I had some recordings of their written songs somewhere in my phone but I can't seem to upload them here. Next time maybe?

The very next day, I met up with my secondary school friends (some which I am pretty close with). Cheryl, Joel and Qian Wen. Our original plan was to head to town and cafe-hop. But our plan fell through as we were too stuffed with food at the first cafe we visited.
PIQUE~NIQUE.
The food were quite pricey and salty at the same time.
I had the Cajun Chicken salad. haha The salad leaves were really salty :X
We also had to prepare a simple gift exchange for each other.
Here's my first time being Santa :) Quite excited about the gift exchange :)
After our first cafe, we went to walk around Takashimaya, in search of Christmas Trees that were creatively made out of food. We spotted the Macaroon Tree (in pink)
And the Ferro Rocher's Tree (I couldn't remember if it was made out of FR or not)
We spent almost 8 hours in town. (Come to think of it, I'm pretty sick of town now)
We window-shopped, sat at Starbucks to occupy space and rest our feet.
Oh, and did I mention I saw this Tiffany & Co.advertisement?
The Key necklace appeared in the Korean Drama "The Inheritors" or better known to most people as "The Heirs".
I find it so pretty. :)
The Inheritors ended quite a while ago.
It reminded me of a similar drama plot "Boys over flowers" which Lee Min-Ho also starred in. But I have to say that he really improved a lot, in the aspect of looks, acting and almost everything.
I'm pretty jealous and envious of his on-screen romance with the female lead. I mean like, who wouldn't want a love life that sweet? Hopefully he appears in real life. (That was my nearly impossible Christmas wish)
The Dream-catcher that appeared in the drama was quite pretty too. Hopefully I can find the exact replica. Qian Wen gave me a handmade Dream-catcher for my birthday and I must say it had quite an effect on my dreams haha.
"One who wants to wear the crown, bears the crown."
I have to agree this because the bearer bears the weight of the crown.
Kim Tan bears the weight of the crown for love and its evident that it made him a stronger character. What with all the ups-and-downs he experienced in the whole drama serial. :)
Because of this latest drama, my crush on Lee Min-Ho has intensified like 1 million times.
Plus, I have made a pact with some of my friends to give South Korea a visit for our graduation trip. (which will be in March 2015). Though, its still a long way to go, we have decided to save up on our own to fund for our trip.
It might be my wishful thinking to hope to see LMH there when I visit Korea but I SHALL JUST WISH FOR THE BEST OKAY??
Before I end, I would like to give thanks to Benny for being a mood-lifter ever since FOREVER.
Was trying to complain that I didn't receive what I wished for (LMH) to be under my Christmas tree and he came up with a small joke.
Always perking me up with his nonsense, I thank you for that bitch buddy :)
Can't wait to meet Chelene, Joel and XinYu tmr.
Further Christmas gift exchanges and we're gonna catch "Frozen" the movie! :)
YAY ^^
Lastly, to all my readers out there, I wish you a blessed Merry Christmas to you and your families :)
xoxo
